MEET SHAY
With over 20 years experience at the collegiate level (Brigham Young University, Pepperdine University, Denver University, Utah State University, and currently Salt Lake Community College). I count myself lucky to have coached with some of the best coaches in the country and at the highest levels.
Most notably, I was fortunate to have Carl McGown (founder of Gold Medal Squared) and his son, Chris McGown as volunteer assistants on my staff while I was head coach at BYU.
Like so many, I recognize that Carl had an enormous influence on my coaching systems and philosophies.
Carl is not the only one, my list of influential coaches and mentors is long, including Marv Dunphy at Pepperdine. I am grateful for how each experience combined to teach me what I know.
I have had tremendous and humbling feedback from the High Performance Volleyball Coaches (HPVC) Coaching Academies I have offered in Utah, California and Colorado as well as virtually.
